HydroBioGeoChem 123D (HBGC123D) Bugs |
The following list contains all bugs that were present in certain downloaded versions. If you kept the archive file of the download, you can see its creation time in the filename. The format is hbgc_1999_month_day_hour_minute... for Windows and hbgc.1999.month.day.hour.minute... for UNIX systems.
If you did not keep the archive, you may check the creation time of the executable ("hbgc123d.exe" for Windows, "hbgc123d" for UNIX systems).
Your version of HBGC123D will not be affected by a bug if you downloaded your copy of HBGC123D after the time of the bug fix or if your platform is not listed in the affected platforms.
Platforms: DEC alpha, IBM
RS6000
Time of bug fix: March 26, 1999, 15:00 EST
Occurrence: Affected are simulations with heat
transport and no chemical components, e.g. sample problem
4. The program stops with a message "Out of memory
error in dmat".
Platforms: All platforms
Time of bug fix: Release Version 1.1 (August 5, 1999)
Occurrence: Transport calculations based on a
two-dimensional mesh with triangular elements resulted
under certain conditions in negative concentrations.
If the simulation also included microbiological
reactions, this lead to the termination of the simulation.
Platforms: All platforms
Time of bug fix: December 12, 2000 (Windows version only)
Occurrence: Transport calculations based on a
two-dimensional mesh (triangular or quadrangular elements) could result
in unphysically high concentrations at some nodes of the mesh.
Platforms: All platforms
Time of bug fix: December 12, 2000 (Windows version only)
Occurrence: A read error occurred when there were distributed
source boundary conditions and more than one component
and/or kinetic species,
or when there were ion-exchanged species of complexed species.
