About the I/O Superfile - the List of Input Files
A superfile that contains a list of input/output filenames
needs to be present in the same directory as the compiled and
linked executable, either hbgc123d
(UNIX systems) or
hbgc123d.exe (MS Windows). The filename of
the superfile must be hbgc123d.in.
The superfile contains the following five filenames, including
the entire path, in the same order as given below:
- The filename of the input data file, prepared as outlined
in this document.
- The filename of the ASCII output file, in plain text
format, from the HBGC123D simulation.
- The filename of the binary file that contains the
hydrological conditions (velocity and water content)
generated by a subsurface flow code. The format of this
binary file is the same as that specified for the Logical Unit 11. This file
is used for input if KVI (defined in
DATA SET 2) > 0.
If KVI < 0, an arbitrary filename still needs to be present, but
the file will not be used.
- The filename of the binary file that stores the output
from the HBGC123D simulation. This file can be read by
the postprocessor PostHBGC.
- The filename of the binary file that stores the required
information for a subsequent HGBC123D restart job. This file
is used for input if NSTR (defined in
DATA SET 2) > 0.
If NSTR = 0, an arbitrary filename still needs to be present, but
the file will not be used.
